Why do you think they like components, hate semantic markup, and loathe the idea of the separation of concerns?

It's not even about "saving development time" at that point, it's about "wah wah, eye dunz wunna lurnz" and and equal measure of "Wah wah, what do you mean I should actually do my job?!?"

Thus I'm no fan of components because invariably you end up trying to shoe-horn content into the wrong markup. It's as bass-wackard as starting out from a PSD or Figma wireframe.

Content should dictate markup. Content + markup + device/user limitations dictate layout. Starting out with layout and some arbitrary predetermined markup is dumbass.
