Truth is often unpleasant. If all you ever hear is pleasantries, the likelihood is you've spent your life being lied to.

Simple fact is the clowns that CREATE HTML/CSS frameworks are at best frauds, at worst outright predators. They never learned enough HTML or CSS to use either in the first place, which is why they created their ignorant halfwitted monuments to HTML 3.2 techniques.

LESS/SASS/SCSS is really no different, in that if you have even the first blasted clue about using HTML and CSS as they were intended, they make you write as much if not more code, to then just deploy even more code than was written... usually for artsy-fartsy crap that doesn't belong in websites or applications in the first blasted place.

As I've said thousands of times the past decade and a half, MAYBE if people would stop sleazing out 100k of HTML to do 16k's job, half a megabyte of CSS to do 32k's job, and multiple megabytes of JavaScript on pages that might not even warrant its presence, MAYBE they wouldn't be so easily hoodwinked, suckered, and bamboozled by all this time wasting garbage that makes people work harder, not smarter.
