To me that "result" is as bad as the DIV soup at the start becuase it's semantic gibberish and bloated to the gills iwth classes for nothing data-attributes for nothing, and a lack of proper semantics. What with the run-on sentence inside the NAV from a lack of UL/LI (just because you use NAV doesn't mena you still don't make menus be lists), and the BUTTON tag indicating scripting only behavior on something that should be beasic non-scripted functionality.

Which is why it's pretty much twice the markup needed to do the job.
