One other thing. We need to stop saying "logo" as it relates to this. I've caught myself doing that too and it makes no sense.

A logo is a presentational affectation to or of the heading. Thus in the markup ALL you should have is the heading, loading the logo from the screen media stylesheet.

Since a presentational image also has ZERO business in the HTML apart from perhaps an optional class like "icon_logo" or some such.

The <h1>Site Title</h1> might be turned into the logo, but that is not what we should even be thinking about when we write the markup.
