It’s oft infuriating. Particularly the number of “experienced” developers who will talk out their backsides saying things like “HTML isn’t a real programming language”

It’s a set of instructions for a computer to follow. If there’s another definition of a programming language, I’ve never heard it.

Is it Turing complete? No. Is it machine legible? No… but that doesn’t change that it IS a programming language (hence the L in HTML), and has rules that are very important to follow.

The way so many developers flip the bird at semantics, write rants about the evils of good practices — not a flipping joke — etc, etc…

But you dare speak up about what utter nonsense they’re spewing, and how predatory their behaviors are, and those speaking out are the trolls? BULLCOOKIES.

It’s just another way these folks “control the narrative” to maintain their echo-chambers of like minded head-bobbing “yes men”.
