I'd be a lot less concerned about it if their "genius" engineers didn't solder the blasted things in.

Because in their price gouged "quality' construction, they're now too cheap to use connectors in their never-ending quest to rip off consumers.

Seriously, when people talk about Apple "quality", after 40 years of dealing with computers I have genuinely ZERO huffing clue what they mean. More like "koolity" since to even consider anything about these products to be good -- much less worth the money -- one has to have drunk pretty heavily of the kool aid. They don't make computers, they make fashion accessories.
