I think a great deal of the problem is this idiotic nonsense of having UX, UI, and front-end coding being three or more different people. MOST of whom throw around words like "designer" when none of them are anything of the sort.

I've said it time and time again, design is engineering that incorporates art as one of it's many facets, and in the COMPLETE ignorance so called UX and UI "experts" have in regards to accessibility, limitations of the target medium, concepts like semantics and separations of concerns, much less ACTUAL USER EXPERIENCE they wouldn't know design if Art Gensler came back from the dead and smacked them with a rolled up blueprint.

We've got too many artists PRETENDING to know what design is, and that's why user-experience like many other facets of design is constantly being pissed on from so on-high, you'd think the almighty just got back from a kegger.
