I love how in your opening picture your example of "beautiful" UI components is a complete illegible accessibility violation of white on teal. An epic /FAIL/ at the most basic aspects of actual UI design.

And that's why a lot of things -- like banking apps -- stay looking like the past. they put accessibility and usability ahead of arsty-fartsy form over function BS..

That's really the problem with most of these "modern" interfaces created by artists under the DELUSION that they are "designers". They're a giant middle finger to actual users trying to do actual work, no matter how pretty they are!

Again, see the entire left half of your "modern set of UI Compnents vs. a very retro banking app". Anyone who would deploy something that looks like the left side of said pic needs to be dragged round back o' the woodshed and put down like Old Yeller.
