Biggest lie to me is that "bugs get fixed faster"

Don't believe me? Bugzilla 915. Open for over two decades, until finally they just go "don't care, won't fix"

Which of course is SUCH a professional attitude.

Unlike REAL professional software, open sores tends to have a problem fixing anything that isn't hot, trendy, or attention drawing. It's like the entire approach is so ego-centric to the developers.

If the users aren't programmers, and it's not big enough a problem for anyone to set a bounty, the odds of a bug being fixed in open source very quickly approaches zero.
