At least flash provided two things — vector animations and MODERN video codecs/containers — that the specifications and browser makers were REFUSING to provide. Something that was both wanted and needed.

These idiotic front-end frameworks do NOTHING of the sort. There’s not a single thing HTML/CSS frameworks provide that cannot be coded cleaner, simpler, faster, or better with just the underlying languages.

But thanks to propagadna, ignorance, and people getting their panties in a knot if you DARE point out how mind-numbingly dumbass it all is… I don’t see this particular flavor of stupid going anywhere.

All the people who never embraced HTML 4 Strict and the proper use of CSS, who kept sleazing out HTML 3.2 under the guise of 4 tranny, now just sleaze out the same broken incompetent techniques using frameworks.

Kind of like how the people who used to spit out endless pointless nested tables moved to spitting out endless pointless nested DIV.
